Timber Trading Business

Sumitomo Forestry America began its log and timber export business in the 1960s.

Since then, our trading business has expanded globally, and now holds a worldwide log and timber trading network. We are committed to creating a valuable supply chain from upstream forests to downstream end-user markets, such as the housing and furniture markets.

We currently export softwood logs and timber from British Columbia, Canada, as well as Washington and Oregon in the United States, to the Japanese market. Additionally, we work on exporting both softwood and hardwood logs and timber to the Chinese and Southeast Asian markets.

Our team provides professional solutions to meet customers’ needs and demands, while also adhering to sustainable and legal procedures.
